As excited as I am for the new series of Mad Men to begin, it also means it’s time for another season to end on AMC. I have grown to love The Walking Dead and watch it weekly now that I have AMC from www.ExpertSatellite.com. This Sunday I cannot wait to see what happens. If it’s anything like last seasons’ ending, there will be big changes and many questions. Fortunately I will have Don Draper and company to keep me distracted for the next few months. I was glad to find The Walking Dead and enjoy it. It has definitely helped fill a void over the past year and a half while Mad Men was on a break. For a while there I was beginning to wonder if it was even coming back! Which would have been a real shame since it is one of the best shows on tv, like The Walking Dead! Amazing that one network could have two of the greatest shows on tv and that they are so completely different!

I’ve been put in charge of the church’s weekly bulletin for this next year. I was happy to accept the responsibility when I was asked to do it. I think people think of me as a good writer, and I know everything going on at the church, and everyone there anyway. It just makes sense for it to be me doing the newsletter. The lady who did it before me told me that you email your draft to the church secretary by Tuesday at noon, she looks it over and checks for errors, and then prints it out and mails them every week. So, my job would just be to write and design the newsletter and email it to her. We don’t have internet at home, but I think this new job title is going to require us getting it. I just can’t see myself being able to really work at the library. A friend recommended I check out satellite star internet.com. I will start there because I take recommendations from friends very seriously.

When my brother got married the first time, he married a girl who was from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I don’t even remember how she met my brother who lives in Georgia, but somehow they met and ended up getting married. I remember I had to get a babysitter for the whole weekend for my three children because the wedding was definitely a whole weekend affair. The day before the wedding, we had to go to a brunch at his fiancé’s parent’s house. They had a beautiful house on a golf course. My husband and I ended up spending a good part of the day there before we went to the rehearsal that night. We were so tired that we ended up falling asleep while we watched a movie on direct Tv oklahoma in their den. That was OK with them though because they knew how tired we were from our trip there. The rehearsal dinner that night was at some famous barbecue place. Then the wedding was the next day at the country club of the golf course where her parents’ house was located. I am pretty sure that her parents spent a ton of money on that wedding. It was a sit down dinner with an open bar. Then they had a great band for dancing after the dinner was finished. I tried to have as much fun as I could because I am pretty sure that will be the only wedding in our family that was that nice and expensive.

There are so many great things to do in California. Obviously, the weather is awesome, so my husband and I definitely try to take our kids to do things in the area as often as possible. We do also love sitting on our couch with the kids snuggling and watching television, though. While we try not to spend too much time lounging around watching TV, it’s nice to have some downtime on Saturday mornings to watch our favorite cartoons. We use DIRECT TV Oxnard and always have a wonderful selection of shows to watch. It’s a great way to unwind after a long week and a good opportunity for us to ease into our super busy weekends. While we run around all week taking care of everything we need to, and we end up running around on the weekends taking care of errands, we’re always sure to leave our Saturday mornings open to spend a little time relaxing. Definitely check your television listings to find out which cartoons are shown on Saturday mornings; it’s a great way to spend a little time relaxing with your family.

My dad asked me the other day if I had cable tvat my house. I liked to have killed him! I mean, with all these people coming over for Thanksgiving and all he’s worried about is whether or not he’s going to be able to get the football game he wants to see? I’m more panicked about the prospect of feeding 30+ people a giant meal from my child-sized kitchen in my one bedroom apartment. In my family we do holidays on a rotation – it’s all set up years ahead of time and when it’s your turn to host, you host. Well, I think everyone imagined I’d be married and living in a big house by now but nope, it’s still just me in this bachelor pad living the single life! Plus, I’m a guy – aren’t the women supposed to do all the cooking? We’re Italian so we do weird dishes like lasagna for Thanksgiving and don’t tell anyone but I may even order it from the authentic Italian restaurant next door…
