| We were only suppose to get a trace of snow last night, but we got about 6 inches of snow here in south Denver. This winter it seems like the weather forecasters have had a difficult time predicting the weather accurately for some reason. It was cold this morning and the roads were bad, so we waited until after lunch to go shopping. We needed to buy a gate to keep Rachel out of the kitchen while I'm cooking and cleaning. We found a good gate at Walmart that will do the job. Then, we went over to my in-laws so my hubby could shovel their driveway. It's weird that their driveway gets very little sun so their driveway always needs to have the snow shoveled. But, across the street where they get sun all day, it melts so quick they hardly ever have to shovel. My in-laws are in their mid 80's, so my hubby always does that in the winter and he mows their yard in the summer to help them out. They always enjoy visiting with us and especially Rachel. Their kindness and thoughtfulness towards Rachel is really amazing and is always appreciated. |
| Yesterday, Sunday, my hubby was excited for the pro football playoffs. Since I don't watch football, I thought it would be a good day to stroll in the mall. So, I met a friend of mine there and we had lunch and walked around for most of the afternoon. We didn't see as many good sales as we saw last week. But, the mall was really crowded and we didn't see people carrying many bags with stuff they bought. I guess the big after Christmas sales are mostly over already. |
